Stop and smell the Global Warming

February 20, 2007

Hi Brit,

I believe I may have mentioned that the Global Warming Scare is about forcing social change and making money?  If not, consider it mentioned now.  Here’s another little bit of the life style make over the environmentalist wackos are planning for our future, Humans’ beef with livestock: a warmer planet.  The reason for this is that part, a large part, of their supporting mob are the lunatic “meat is murder” crowd.  This is just a bone to keep them in lock step.  Of course, they haven’t taken into consideration that the cause behind the massive flatulence capacity of cattle is their vegetarian diet.  Remember the old saying: “beans, beans, precious fruit.  The more you eat the more you…”  This, if they were rational, would leave them in paradox, keeping them paralyzed with circular thought, until their heads exploded.  I’m afraid our luck isn’t that good, since they show few signs of thought.  I would also point out, that this another example of why it is so important to liberals to disarm the general public.

We don’t have smoking police, yet…

February 15, 2007

Hi Brit,

While we don’t yet have special police to fetter out evil smokers, at times the regular police are pressed into service.  Ellison Sends ‘Sorry’ Note to Tancredo For To-Do Over Cigar Complaint.  This is the face saving attempt by newly elected Representative Ellison (D-Min) who sicked the Capital Police on Representative Tancredo (R-Col) for smoking a cigar in his office, which happens to share a wall with the Freshman Congressman.  As it turns out, there is no law or rule preventing smoking in the private offices of Representatives, but the police did drop by to mention the report to Tancredo and share a laugh, if not a stogy.  Of course, if the liberals get their way, the officer would simply have shot the evil smoker, sprayed his corpse with a fire extinguisher, and been done with the matter.

Democrats move toward socialized health care!

February 15, 2007

Hi Brit,

I hope the American people are happy, because putting Democrats in charge of Congress is already starting to pay unexpected dividends.  While the subject of socialized medicine was carefully avoided during the recent campaigns, here it comes: Mental health bill moves forward in Congress.  Of course, this sounds innocent enough, just another attempt to force Big Business to be fair to the little guy, in this case forcing health insurance providers to cover mental health treatments.  However, underneath the feel good surface lurks a sneaky plan to drive health care costs high enough that the average person can’t afford it, forcing the kind and good hearted Government to take over and protect the innocent, but not too bright, general public.  Placing Big Brother firmly in charge of another 15% of the US economy, is just a bonus.  What’s that old saying, “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it?”  So get that elective surgery now, because, after Big Government takes the reigns, the wait time for that nip and tuck or those fake boobs is going to be measured in years.  Oh, and pick up a good thick book, because the wait time at your doctor’s office is going to make a trip to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) seem like the service at McDonald’s.

Stupid liberals!

February 11, 2007

Hi Brit,

I was reading this, Hybrid-Only Car Service Launches in San Francisco, and it hit me as to just how stupid liberals are, as a general rule.  The key point in this is that, according to the story, the idea is to make rich people flying into Nanny Pelosi’s home town feel better by taking “green” transportation around town, after dumping untold tons of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere while flying in a fuel waisting jet.  Then I read the details, and was shocked.  Keep in mind that the article is tainted with the usual liberal bias, even though it does throw in a tiny hit about the jet travel thing, but it also includes, “with a fleet of leather-seated Priuses.”  I’m sure that the reporter, not knowing squat about Global Warming, didn’t think twice about this.  However, the secondary part of the Climate Change Conspiracy, the one that really gets the radical liberals frothing at the mouth over its potential for bringing about social change, is the implication of cow farts in heating up the globe.  That would, of course, be the methane content in the massive flatulence produced by our bovine food supply, which is an excuse for left wing groups to insist everyone turn vegetarian.  Thus the paradoxical nature of a “green” car with leather seats.  Oh, well, I am assuming that the leather was produced from cow hide and not Jews, but that is most likely a safe assumption.

How long can you hold your breath?

February 9, 2007

Hi Brit,

I just read this, Congress eyes legislation to fight climate change, and immediately asked myself “how long can I hold my breath?”  After all, each of us expel the Evil Greenhouse Gas CO2 with each breath, and, now that Nanny Pelosi has the issue firmly clinched in her dentures, I expect that soon we will be faced with a Breath Tax, to encourage us to slow down our individual contributions to Global Warming.  By my quick, and not necessarily totally accurate, calculations, we in the US can offset her jet set life style if we each take 30 fewer breaths per day.  Of course, this increased interest in decreasing our breath rates will have at least one benefit, that being, getting some of the joggers off the road.

Although, considering that:

The White House said Snow was referring to figures from the International Energy Agency that from 2000 to 2004, U.S. carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion grew by 1.7 percent, while in the European Union such emissions grew by 5 percent.  From: U.S. cuts emissions better than Europe: White House.

It would seem obvious to any rational person, thus excluding most Democrats I admit, that we are on the correct path to achieve the liberal agenda of reducing CO2 emissions without further Government meddling.  With liberals in control, of course, they will ignore the facts, raise taxes and piddle around in our lives until they manage to, not only, increase Greenhouse Gas Emissions, but, also, screw up our economy.  Typical.

The Nanny State gone wild!

February 5, 2007

This, I must say, is too much, Obedient residents in apartments with dead space.  OK, everyone over here in the US should have to read this before voting in the next election.  Really people, is this what we want?

Can you say “buying votes?”

February 4, 2007

Hi Brit,

While y’all have almost completely sunk into the warm, smothering embrace of the Nanny State, we still have a few vestiges of freedom and self determination left, such as worrying about our own health care.  That is, until John Edwards gets elected, and this evil rich guy isn’t afraid to spend other people’s money buying votes: Edwards: raise taxes for healthcare.  It’ll be interesting to see how many votes he can purchase with a promised $180 BILLION of looted cash that will, supposedly, come from higher taxes on his fellow fabulously rich country men and women.  The targets of this bribe are the 43 MILLION Americans who are without health insurance.  Mr. money bags doesn’t mention if he is going to weed out those who could afford coverage, but decide not to do so.  Of course, if we get into details, it seems that our trial lawyer champion of the people is playing tricky games with the meaning of words.  “Rich” for example, appears to mean anyone making more than $200,000 per year.  His rather expensive plan also calls for an attack on our economy through adding more regulations and costs on business.

Not to be outdone, I have a health care plan of my own.  I say we confiscate, ah, that is tax at 100%, Edward’s new super luxury estate, and put that $6,000,000 in a fund to buy health care for poor people.  Just the interest on that should cover decent insurance for 50 to 100 people.  Be a sport John, use your own money to buy votes.

Time to get a bicycle.

February 2, 2007

Hi Brit,

Just thought I’d warn you about, Use a mobile… and lose your vehicle.  Actually, after reading the article I think you’d better get a bicycle.  We have a similar, and under reported, law, allowing police to confiscate property they suspect was purchased with money made from drug crimes.  The local police confiscate enough cars to pay their expenses from the resell.  This is the reason one should never carry large amounts of cash over here.  Studies have shown that a high percentage of the currency in circulation has detectable amounts of cocaine on it.  Thus, any given wad of cash will probably set a drug detection dog off and, poof, the police get your money.  Note that there is no trial, no need to show cause, just a suspicion by the officer.  The process to protest the confiscation is a very lengthy and expensive process with no guarantee of success.  Ah, freedom, I do miss it.

The mask continues to slip from the face of liberalism.

February 1, 2007

Hi Brit,

It seems that the recent victory of the Democrats may well be their destruction.  Power has already started going to their heads, and, in the internal struggle for position and status, their true nature is coming out: Sanchez Accuses Democrat of Calling Her a ‘Whore,’ Resigns from Hispanic Group.  True or not the accusation brings to light the sexism rampant in the liberal camp, while the very existence of a separate group open only to Hispanics shows their embrace of racism.  No wonder liberals are so eager to pass laws against these things; having these afflictions themselves, they assume the worst in everyone.

Pelosi’s home town drama.

February 1, 2007

Hi Brit,

This goes a ways toward explaining why Nanny Pelosi is, let us say, a bit confused about how much Government people really need, AIDE QUITS AS NEWSOM’S AFFAIR WITH HIS WIFE IS REVEALED.  The steamy details boil down to, the Mayor of San Francisco at one time was sleeping with his secretary who was the wife of his campaign manager, and all was fine until the wife in question confessed to her husband during a rehab program for substance abuse, after which the aide told the Mayor off then quit.  Apparently, none of the governed are upset, with the exception of the guy who quit, and the Mayor is sad that the guy who’s wife he banged won’t stay on the job.  Environment, it would seem, does play a significant role in how people turn out.

The last Global Warming skeptic?

January 31, 2007

Hi Brit,

I have good news!  Even our most liberal news paper, perhaps the most liberal serious paper in the world, the New York Times, is not totally convinced about Global Warming and Climate Change: World Scientists Near Consensus on Warming!  While the rest of the story is full of the usual liberal, Global Warming as religion tripe, there is one bit which is very instructive:

Scientists involved in writing or reviewing the report say it is nearly certain to conclude that there is at least a 90 percent chance that human-caused emissions are the main factor in warming since 1950. The report is the fourth since 1990 from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is overseen by the United Nations.

“It is nearly certain that there is at least a 90% chance,” that, to me, says they don’t know!  You should also note that, instead of the usual 100 year comparison, they’ve shifted to a 50 year time span.  That’s because, it’s obvious that the temperature spike in the first half of the last century wasn’t due to human activity.  They can’t really explain its cause, but, quietly buried in the reports of the liberal media, is the admission that we didn’t cause it.  It only took 20 years for that bit of information to come to semi-light.  Of course, to any rational mind, that would bring up the question of trust to the “climate scientists” findings about the most recent temperature increase.  Unfortunately, there is grant money, political power, and business interests at stake, so the truth will have to wait.

Another question a rational person might ask, is what has consensus got to do with science?  While I did suffer through a public school education, I was always taught that science dealt with fact, not opinion.  It is a disturbing surprise to me that science has devolved into a popularity contest.  If this is going to be the trend in “science,” it seems to me that, to make it fair, we should put it to our elected representative to decide the position science will bow to.  That would at least, save us a few billion on research funding.

Look out! The light bulb police are coming!

January 31, 2007

Hi Brit,

Besides being a sign of the end of the world, it’s also one of the most ridiculous things I’ve read lately, California may ban conventional lightbulbs by 2012.  (notice the target date)  Of course, since this will leave the poor in the dark, the State will, no doubt, pass out the free bulbs along with free condoms.  However, considering the eco-freak attitude of California’s population, this also proves that they are either poorly informed or insane.  You have read the packages on those fluorescent bulbs, haven’t you?  They contain mercury.  That is, they contain it until they break.  You can’t even throw them in the trash, least they contaminate the local landfill.  So, between all the extra hazardous material clean up teams, the cost of special disposal on a grand scale, and the expense of a light bulb police force to make certain no one smuggles an evil incandescent bulb into the state, I’m not even sure it will save energy.

Finally, the yoke gets lighter.

January 30, 2007

Hi Brit,

This item, Bush Directive Increases Sway on Regulation, should give you a bit of an insight into US politics and how our Government works.  As you may know, our Federal Government has blessed us with gigantic agencies and departments, crammed full of careerer bureaucrats, that exist for the sole purpose of attempting to regulate every tiny detail of everything that happens, or can happen, in America.  Now, a moments thought, will expose the trouble of this system, that being that there is no conceivable way for legislation to be passed with enough detail to cover all this.  Thus, over the years, Congress, realizing in their wisdom that millions might die from RRDS (Rules & Regulations Deficit Syndrome) without a constant flow of new and ever more complex and comprehensive instructions from Washington, solved the problem by delegating their Constitutional duty to the unelected employees of the various nanny agencies.

President Bush has, with the stroke of a Constitutionally authorized pen, slapped the new Power in town back down to size.  The best part of the article is a response from a leading, and very liberal, Democrat:

Representative Henry A. Waxman, Democrat of California and chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said: “The executive order allows the political staff at the White House to dictate decisions on health and safety issues, even if the government’s own impartial experts disagree. This is a terrible way to govern, but great news for special interests.”

Yes, Mr. Waxman, I know how you feel.  It is certainly a shame that we have to bother with involving elected officials in the process.  Oh, the trouble caused by this thing we call democracy.

Bat out of hell, bite me world!

January 29, 2007

Hi Brit,

I was in a bit of a nostalgic mood this afternoon, so I put “Bat Out of Hell” on and cranked it up.  Man, what perfect timing!  Global Warming, extremest Muslim terrorists, liberals, Jane Fonda, Britney’s beaver, Big Brother racism, Hillary Clinton, the United Nations, President Bush, AlGore, Iraq, Iran, nuclear bombs, blood in the streets, and the end of the world; screw it all!  So, take a few minutes, put the CD on, crank it up and sing along!

Bat Out Of Hell lyrics

The sirens are screaming and the fires are howling

Way down in the valley tonight
There’s a man in the shadows with a gun in his eye
And a blade shining oh so bright
There’s evil in the air and there’s thunder in the sky
And a killer’s on the bloodshot streets
And down in the tunnel where the deadly are rising
Oh I swear I saw a young boy
Down in the gutter
He was starting to foam in the heat
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world
that’s pure and good and right
And wherever you are and wherever you go
There’s always gonna be some light
But i gotta get out
I gotta break it out now
Before the final crack of dawn
So we gotta make the most of our one night together
When it’s over you know
We’ll both be so alone
Like a bat out of hell
I’ll be gone when the morning comes
When the night is over
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes
But when the day is done
And the sun goes down
And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you
I’m gonna hit the highway like a battering ram

On a silver black phantom bike

When the metal is hot and the engine is hungry

And we’re all about to see the light

Nothing ever grows in this rotten old hole

Everything is stunted and lost

And nothing really rocks

And nothing really rolls

And nothing’s ever worth the cost

And I know that I’m damned if I never get out

And maybe I’m damned if I do

But with every other beat I got left in my heart

You know I’d rather be damned with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

If Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night with you
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world

that’s pure and good and right

And wherever you are and wherever you go

There’s always gonna be some light

But I gotta get out

I gotta break it out now

Before the final crack of dawn

So we gotta make the most of our one night together

When it’s over you know

We’ll both be so alone

Like a bat out of hell

I’ll be gone when the morning comes

When the night is over

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes

But when the day is done

And the sun goes down

And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

I can see myself tearing up the road

Faster than any other boy has ever gone

And my skin is raw but my soul is ripe

And no one’s gonna stop me now

I gotta make my escape

But I can’t stop thinking of you

And I never see the sudden curve until it’s way too late

I never see the sudden curve till it’s way too late

Then I’m dying on the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere is tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Breaking out of my body

And flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Then I’m dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere must be tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Still beating

Breaking out of my body and flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Thanks Jim; thanks Meat!  Still love it; still a fan.

Ethanol, evil, evil ethanol

January 28, 2007

Hi Brit,

As I’m sure you know, our environmentalist wackos have pushed our political wackos into pushing, by law, the use of ethanol combined with gasoline as an “environmentally friendly” and “anti Global Warming” fuel.  As I always figured, being a farmer and a heavy consumer of distilled spirits, growing crops to turn into combustible fuel is stupid, The new gold rush: how farmers are set to fuel America’s future.  Besides the inefficiency involved with producing this “green” fuel, it also, obviously, reduces the available food supply.  The first signs of the damage this will do are in Mexico, A Culinary and Cultural Staple in Crisis.  You should note that, even if they switch from using corn as the base for ethanol production, there is only so much good farming land, but an ever increasing number of mouths to feed.  The only acres left to plant rest under forests so …

The EU can kiss my ass (sorry Brit)

Hi Brit,

Once again the forces of socialism are trying to destroy capitalism, and I say they can kiss my ass.  Sorry Brit, but this time it’s the European Union as a whole that is trying to drag the world down into an Average Is All We Can Hope For cesspool.   And here is what set me off, Rivals attack Vista as illegal under EU rules.  First of all, if the twits in socialist Europe think they can write a better operating system, and all the applications that will follow on its coat tails, let them try.  Second, if your crap hole, work six months a year companies can’t keep up, go to hell, which these days is located in Venezuela.  If y’all don’t like Microsoft’s products, then don’t buy them.  It’s not like Bill Gates is threatening to raise a private army and force you to use them under threat of violence.  Of course, considering that the only reason y’all can afford to bask in your socialist Nanny State is that the US has protected you from the world’s bullies for 50 years, I can see why an angry Gates might make you shake in your shoes.  Personally, I think Microsoft and all other US companies should just yank their business out of the festering boil that you call the EU.  Then we can toss back a few and place bets on whether you will collapse back into the Stone Age before either the Russians or the Muslims turn you into slaves.  Once again, with feeling, kiss my ass EU!

Well, it does seem as if Nanny Pelosi, the Speaker Lady and big gun against Global Warming and Climate Change (if it’ll get her a vote or two,) is another liberal who’s ideology only applies to the common people.  She and a horde of Big Name liberal politicians are off on a quick trip to Iraq to check things out for themselves, Pelosi to meet with al-Maliki in quick visit to Iraq.  Of course, they’re flying, pumping tons and tons of CO2 into the air, not to mention burning untold thousands of tax payer dollars, just to have a photo-op and make a political point.  Typical liberal elitists.  What do you want to bet that they step off the jet right into a convoy of SUVs?

As far as I can see there are now three democrats involved, including Hilary Clinton. I have yet to catch up with who is running for the other side, but no doubt that will come to me in the next few days.

Also, it appears that everyone is leading on the same home policy, home care. Assuming that the Iraq situation is over by then, won’t this be just a little confusing for the electorate?

Oh I will also be looking to see how much money is being thrown at the election campaigns as well.

I’ve been talking about the mysterious qualities of Barack Obama, the liberal Messiah, for a while now.  Mostly, I was wondering about what he really stands for, which seemed to be classified information, until now: Obama Calls for Universal Health Care.  Add that to this, keeping in mind that a picture is worth a thousand words,

and Obama’s true nature shines through.  No wonder the High and Mighty in Hollywood are fighting with one another to be the first to throw money at his feet!  Barack is a liberal’s liberal.  A man with more feelings than brains.  Someone who knows he has a destiny to be part of the elite, deciding what’s best for us common people, even though, you can bet, it’s not what’s best for Him and his Rich cronies.  With this revelation, it’s easy to see why Hillary has been cast aside.  Just like Hillary, Obama is liberal to the core and a minority.  Unlike Hillary, he doesn’t come across to the general public as an evil bitch.
