Pelosi aids Al Qaeda

February 22, 2007

Hi Brit,

Guess who is once more has her knickers in a knot?  Nanny Pelosi of course.  This time, she may even have good reason.  Our Vice President, Dick Cheney, made a speech in Tokyo where he said, “I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy.  The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people … try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit.”   This is what has her all in a huff, even though it’s a true and fair assessment by the VP.  However, why I think she has reason to be miffed is that she was not able to reach the President to complain.  Sorry Bush, while one can hardly fault you for not wanting to talk to our vapid leader of the House, it’s part of your job; it’s why you get paid the not really so big bucks.  So, next time, suck it up and put her on the Speaker phone.

Stop and smell the Global Warming

February 20, 2007

Hi Brit,

I believe I may have mentioned that the Global Warming Scare is about forcing social change and making money?  If not, consider it mentioned now.  Here’s another little bit of the life style make over the environmentalist wackos are planning for our future, Humans’ beef with livestock: a warmer planet.  The reason for this is that part, a large part, of their supporting mob are the lunatic “meat is murder” crowd.  This is just a bone to keep them in lock step.  Of course, they haven’t taken into consideration that the cause behind the massive flatulence capacity of cattle is their vegetarian diet.  Remember the old saying: “beans, beans, precious fruit.  The more you eat the more you…”  This, if they were rational, would leave them in paradox, keeping them paralyzed with circular thought, until their heads exploded.  I’m afraid our luck isn’t that good, since they show few signs of thought.  I would also point out, that this another example of why it is so important to liberals to disarm the general public.

The real Hillary shows through!

February 20, 2007

Hi Brit,

As you undoubtedly know, a few years back we settled the “States’ Rights” issue with a bloody civil war.  However, we still have States.  I read this earlier today, Clinton Objects to Confederate Flag.  On the face of it, she is pandering to the black voters in South Carolina.  Yet, if one reads the article carefully, you find, “I think about how many South Carolinians have served in our military and who are serving today under our flag and I believe that we should have one flag that we all pay honor to, as I know that most people in South Carolina do every single day.”  The key to understanding this is knowing that Senator Clinton is not from South Carolina, and does not live there. So, she is advocating not having State flags.  Fortunately, I picked up enough Clinton speak while her husband was in office to get the full meaning.  This is a typical liberal toe-in-the-door move toward eliminating States altogether, which, as a by product, would also eliminate that pesky Electoral College.  I can see it now, one Nation, one Flag, one President For Life.

Pelosi smiles while Democrats spit on our troops!

February 17, 2007

Hi Brit,

In a replay of the last war the Democrats lost for us, Nanny Pelosi has engineered a spineless vote in Congress to pass a “non-binding” resolution against President Bush’s running of the war in Iraq.  While this vile spit-in-the-face attempt to spit in the face of our troops, who, while risking their lives in service to their country, are totally committed to the war, failed to make it through the Senate, it still serves to prove how cowardly and anti-American the liberals are.  Just take a glance at this, Pelosi smiles at Bush, and know that she is really smiling at a partial political victory at the expense of the men and women who defend our country.  Of course, if Pelosi and her liberal gang had any stones, and I’m surprised that Nanny P. doesn’t, they would have put their cards on the table and tried to actually cut funding for the war.  However, as usual, symbolism is just as good to liberals as substance, and they are just beside themselves at this at this partially successful mocking of everything America used to hold dear.

What?

February 16, 2007

Hi Brit,

I just read this, U.S., developing nations accept Iran aid cut plan, where we learn that, “Western and developing nations broadly accept a U.N. nuclear agency plan to cut almost half its aid projects in Iran.”  OK, I, and all rational people, know that the UN sucks and is run by corrupt twits that should not be trusted to run the local dog pound, but this is beyond belief!  Why in the hell has anyone ever given nuclear aid to Iran, ever!  Now that this insane policy has come to light, why are we not cutting every tiny shred of aid, any kind of aid, every kind of aid to this rabid, Jew hating, terrorist sponsoring state!  For that matter, why does the UN have a nuclear aid agency in the first place?  Excuse me while I take some more pills and pour myself a strong drink.

Global Warming, following the money trail

February 15, 2007

Hi Brit,

I’ve said before that the case for “Global Warming, end of the world so we must act NOW” is motived more by money and politics than science.  It seems that I am not alone in this belief, On Global Warming: Follow the Money Indeed!  However, even though the lie of Global Warming is now so entrenched in the public mind that there is no stopping these fear mongers from winning, we can still learn some lessons from this gigantic and corrupt conspiracy.

1.  Always follow the money before trusting anyone’s motives.

2.  Never, under any circumstances, ever, trust anyone either employed by, or connected to, the United Nations.

3.  It’s past time to question why scientific research needs to be funded by the Government.

4.  It’s way past time to question our continued funding of the UN.

5.  Most politicians get their jobs by being good liars.  Why do we expect them to change their ways once they get in office?

6.  We, as a country, have few friends outside our boarders.  We should start acting like it.

7.  Almost all fanatics, be they religious, political, or environmentalists, are evil and should be dealt with accordingly.

We don’t have smoking police, yet…

February 15, 2007

Hi Brit,

While we don’t yet have special police to fetter out evil smokers, at times the regular police are pressed into service.  Ellison Sends ‘Sorry’ Note to Tancredo For To-Do Over Cigar Complaint.  This is the face saving attempt by newly elected Representative Ellison (D-Min) who sicked the Capital Police on Representative Tancredo (R-Col) for smoking a cigar in his office, which happens to share a wall with the Freshman Congressman.  As it turns out, there is no law or rule preventing smoking in the private offices of Representatives, but the police did drop by to mention the report to Tancredo and share a laugh, if not a stogy.  Of course, if the liberals get their way, the officer would simply have shot the evil smoker, sprayed his corpse with a fire extinguisher, and been done with the matter.

Democrats move toward socialized health care!

February 15, 2007

Hi Brit,

I hope the American people are happy, because putting Democrats in charge of Congress is already starting to pay unexpected dividends.  While the subject of socialized medicine was carefully avoided during the recent campaigns, here it comes: Mental health bill moves forward in Congress.  Of course, this sounds innocent enough, just another attempt to force Big Business to be fair to the little guy, in this case forcing health insurance providers to cover mental health treatments.  However, underneath the feel good surface lurks a sneaky plan to drive health care costs high enough that the average person can’t afford it, forcing the kind and good hearted Government to take over and protect the innocent, but not too bright, general public.  Placing Big Brother firmly in charge of another 15% of the US economy, is just a bonus.  What’s that old saying, “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it?”  So get that elective surgery now, because, after Big Government takes the reigns, the wait time for that nip and tuck or those fake boobs is going to be measured in years.  Oh, and pick up a good thick book, because the wait time at your doctor’s office is going to make a trip to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) seem like the service at McDonald’s.

87,000 reasons liberals suck!

February 14, 2007

Hi Brit,

While I generally have a poor opinion of labor unions, I have an even lower opinion of liberals.  Here, DaimlerChrysler says ‘no option excluded’ in Chrysler revamp, we have a story that breaks my heart.  On one hand, the over paid union workers of the American auto industry have been, for decades, the backbone of financial support for the Democratic Party, whether the workers wanted things to be that way or not.  Now, because of the shift of the ruling liberals to supporting eco-fanatics, our auto industry is being left high and dry.  Typical do-gooder mentality, not caring how many they hurt in their effort to save the world.  The really sad part is that, those 87,000 newly unemployed workers are probably so uninformed that they will spend their copious amounts of recently acquired free time campaigning for the very politicians who cost them their jobs.

Al Gore, wrong again.

February 14, 2007

Hi Brit,

By now I’m sure you’ve seen the glacier melting scene from Al Gore’s propaganda film, “An Inconvenient Truth.”  Well, it turns out that the Global Warming alarmist wasn’t telling the whole truth:

Study: Glacier melting can be variable

Experts question theory on global warming

It appears that the Climate Change fanatics have been cherry picking the data they consider, and not bothering to mention that not all glaciers show signs of melting or behave in consistent ways.  Of course, that would make the theory easier to support and, as a minor benefit, keep billions of dollars in research funding poring into the coffers of an otherwise minor area of science.

Great, new evidence of Global Cooling!

February 13, 2007

Hi Brit,

Great news on the Global Warming front!  “Climatologists at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York City have found that 2006 was the fifth warmest year in the past century. ”  Since we had the hottest year on record was 2005, then, logically, if last year wasn’t warmer, we are cooling.  What fantastic news!  This, of course, means that we can call off all the Climate Change taxes, cut the billions of dollars in research grants for “climate scientists”, and go back to spending that money on fighting disease, poverty, and starvation.  Oh, and we can officially tell AlGore to kiss the collective Global Ass.  Pucker up you evil tobacco farmer!

The article also adds, “Most places on the globe have warmed in recent decades, with the greatest warming at high latitudes in the Arctic Ocean, Alaska, Siberia and the Antarctic Peninsula.”  Which, obviously, means it’s not a GLOBAL phenomena, but appears to be localized to the poles.  It would seem that the “climate scientists” need to come up with a better story to justify the massive investment in their theorizing.

Hi Dixie Twits!

February 12, 2007

Hi Brit,

I suspect this will confuse and bore you, but I have to get it out of my system, sorry.

dixie-chicks.jpg

The musical group, Dixie Chicks, who made their name as a country-western group, screwed up several years ago and let their lead singer open up her fat mouth about politics.  She,  Natalie Maines, during a concert in a foreign country just had to go and bad mouth President Bust.  Of course, the vast majority of their fan base, including me, were conservatives, and their music quickly dropped off the play list for country music radio stations.  To me, this was a great shame, as I really enjoyed their music.  Of course, after they associated themselves with a political ideology, it totally ruined the experience foe me, and several million other people.  This action has put a major hurt on their career ever since.  However, their new liberal friends have tossed them a bone, in the way of five Grammy awards.  Of course, this is probably not that much help, as liberals are hardly likely to purchase their music, let alone enjoy it.  In my view, all entertainers should learn a lesson from this, and keep their political views to themselves.

Stupid liberals!

February 11, 2007

Hi Brit,

I was reading this, Hybrid-Only Car Service Launches in San Francisco, and it hit me as to just how stupid liberals are, as a general rule.  The key point in this is that, according to the story, the idea is to make rich people flying into Nanny Pelosi’s home town feel better by taking “green” transportation around town, after dumping untold tons of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere while flying in a fuel waisting jet.  Then I read the details, and was shocked.  Keep in mind that the article is tainted with the usual liberal bias, even though it does throw in a tiny hit about the jet travel thing, but it also includes, “with a fleet of leather-seated Priuses.”  I’m sure that the reporter, not knowing squat about Global Warming, didn’t think twice about this.  However, the secondary part of the Climate Change Conspiracy, the one that really gets the radical liberals frothing at the mouth over its potential for bringing about social change, is the implication of cow farts in heating up the globe.  That would, of course, be the methane content in the massive flatulence produced by our bovine food supply, which is an excuse for left wing groups to insist everyone turn vegetarian.  Thus the paradoxical nature of a “green” car with leather seats.  Oh, well, I am assuming that the leather was produced from cow hide and not Jews, but that is most likely a safe assumption.

Disorder in the ranks of Global Warming fanatics?

February 10, 2007

Hi Brit,

It seems that the Church of Global Warming should pick a High Priest to coordinate things.

On one hand we have, Congress eyes legislation to fight climate change (which I mentioned previously,) many countries are trying to implement the Kyoto Treats, and the EU is in the process of adding all sorts of new environmental laws.

On the other hand, we have, Climate Change Verdict: Science Debate Ends, Solution Debate Begins.  While I contest the “Science debate ends” part, having posted about this several times in the recent past, I point out the “Solution debate begins” part, as it relates to what I just mentioned above.  If there is still debate, even among the ranks of the faithful, as to what to do about Global Warming, then a rational person would have to question how our politicians can know what laws to pass to fix it?  If they understand things better than the Climate Scientists on who’s’ knowledge rests the concept and proof of Global Warming, perhaps they should write the IPCC reports on the subject.  Wait, sorry, I forgot, they did.  Still, one would think that some scientific basis would be needed to formulate solutions to a real problem.

On the gripping hand, I found this, UTSA researchers examine effects of global warming on Antarctic.  Now, call me crazy, but I thought this was “settled science,” and we know that the Antarctic ice is melting.  So, a rational person must ask, why are we waisting money examining things we already know all about?  Shouldn’t those funds be going to find a solution to Global Warming, or at least to implementing the solutions the politicians already seem to know about?

I have to say, Global Warming fanatics, y’all really should anoint a High Priest in an effort to get your act together.  How about AlGore?

How long can you hold your breath?

February 9, 2007

Hi Brit,

I just read this, Congress eyes legislation to fight climate change, and immediately asked myself “how long can I hold my breath?”  After all, each of us expel the Evil Greenhouse Gas CO2 with each breath, and, now that Nanny Pelosi has the issue firmly clinched in her dentures, I expect that soon we will be faced with a Breath Tax, to encourage us to slow down our individual contributions to Global Warming.  By my quick, and not necessarily totally accurate, calculations, we in the US can offset her jet set life style if we each take 30 fewer breaths per day.  Of course, this increased interest in decreasing our breath rates will have at least one benefit, that being, getting some of the joggers off the road.

Although, considering that:

The White House said Snow was referring to figures from the International Energy Agency that from 2000 to 2004, U.S. carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion grew by 1.7 percent, while in the European Union such emissions grew by 5 percent.  From: U.S. cuts emissions better than Europe: White House.

It would seem obvious to any rational person, thus excluding most Democrats I admit, that we are on the correct path to achieve the liberal agenda of reducing CO2 emissions without further Government meddling.  With liberals in control, of course, they will ignore the facts, raise taxes and piddle around in our lives until they manage to, not only, increase Greenhouse Gas Emissions, but, also, screw up our economy.  Typical.

Tony Blair at home

February 9, 2007

Hi Grit

For those who don’t know a lot about Blair and his official home, here is a site that lets you take a tour around it. It will walk you through all of the rooms where important decisions are made and you can click on items of special interest to learn more. Unfortunately it does not allow you into his private accommodation.

Other interesting fact from this site include some interesting quotes from previous PM’s, dating back to the 1740’s, which our friend Tony might do well to refer to. For example:-

William Pitt the elder (1766-1788) “Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it.”

Henry Addington (1801-04) “In youth, the absence of pleasure is pain, in old age the absence of pain is pleasure.”

Sir Robert Peel (1841-46) “There seem to me to be very few facts, at least ascertainable facts, in politics.”

Marquis of Salisbury (1886-92). “English policy is to float lazily downstream, occasionally putting out a diplomatic boathook to avoid collisions.”

Arthur James Balfour (1902-1905) “I am more or less happy when being praised, not very comfortable when being abused, but I have moments of uneasiness when being explained.”

Andrew Bonar Law (1922-3) “If I am a great man, then a good many great men of history are frauds.”

Clement Richard Atlee (1945-51) “Often the experts make the worst possible ministers in their own fields. In this country we prefer rule by amateur.”

Sir Alec Douglas Hume (1963-64) “There are two problems in my life. The political ones are insoluble and the economic ones are incomprehensible.”

Interesting!

The true face of liberalism, another chapter.

February 8, 2007

Hi Brit,

Let us imagine that a conservative candidate for President discovered that, in the past, two of his/her staffers had written evil nasty things about gays or Hispanics.  What do you think the lot of those people would be?  Terminated immediately with great fanfare and many apologies for ever being associated with such horrible people, is the correct answer.  However, if a liberal candidate for President has the same situation, with the exception that the writing was anti-Catholic hate speech, Edwards Won’t Fire Bloggers For Catholic Church Criticisms, you can plainly see that the attitude is completely different.  Obviously, liberals are perfectly OK with hating certain groups, as long as they are listed in the Big Book of Political Correctness under Evil Groups Approved to be Detested.  Unfortunately for Edwards, he happens to fall into one of those categories, the Evil Rich.  Of course, the liberal press are unlikely to point that out, or even mention the linked story.  Typical.

Global Warming, the political battle.

February 7, 2007

Hi Brit,

As we’ve discussed before, Global Warming has gone beyond science and is now a political issue.  For instance, in today’s news I’ve found two instances of Climate Scientists being attacked by the news media and/or politicians just for expressing their professional opinion that Global Warming facts don’t fit the politically correct version of the United Nations’ lap dog group, the IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change.)

Global warming debate spurs Ore. title tiff

Del. scientist’s view on climate change criticized

If you need more proof that this issue is now all about politics, check out this poll of politicians.  Not only does it show that Global Warming has moved into the realm of politics, it makes it clear that our two parties have chosen sides.

Silence is golden!

Hi Brit,

That sound you don’t hear is the liberal chatter presented by the talk radio network Air America.  The reason you don’t hear it is that they went belly up, Air America Fire Sale.  The reason for their dismal failure wasn’t a lack of words.  After all, Al Franken alone produces more than enough hot air to fill up a normal broadcasting schedule.  No, they flopped because their target audience, knee jerk liberals, don’t listen to talk radio.  Radical left shows have been tried time and time again in markets all across the country with the same result, no one listens.  Of course, not being believers in capitalism, liberals have trouble understanding the nature of the problem, so they just keep on throwing money at it.

And now, a moment of silence for the dearly departed…………..

Hi Brit,

Brace yourself.  We may, just may, get the chance to follow events as a new addition is made to Politically Correct speech.  You probably recall that one of our Presidential Candidates, Senator Biden, complemented a fellow Candidate, Senator Obama, by saying he is articulate.  He also said he is clean, but we’re beyond that for the moment.  However, according to, The Racial Politics of Speaking Well, “articulate”, as said of a black person, may soon be on the Politically Correct Big List of Bad Words.  I’m not sure I completely follow the logic of the piece, but, it seems to make the case that calling one African-American articulate, implies that most aren’t well spoken and, thus, is a racial insult.  I can hardly wait to see how far this goes.  Who knows, in a few years we may not even be able to speak to or about a tenth of our population.
