Pelosi aids Al Qaeda

February 22, 2007

Hi Brit,

Guess who is once more has her knickers in a knot?  Nanny Pelosi of course.  This time, she may even have good reason.  Our Vice President, Dick Cheney, made a speech in Tokyo where he said, “I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy.  The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people … try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit.”   This is what has her all in a huff, even though it’s a true and fair assessment by the VP.  However, why I think she has reason to be miffed is that she was not able to reach the President to complain.  Sorry Bush, while one can hardly fault you for not wanting to talk to our vapid leader of the House, it’s part of your job; it’s why you get paid the not really so big bucks.  So, next time, suck it up and put her on the Speaker phone.

Iraq! we’re pulling out.

February 21, 2007

Our esteemed leader, the Right Honorable Tony Blair has been making promises to our soldiers in Iraq, and their families at home, which at the moment he hasn’t a clue whether he can deliver. But it does give him good press for the first time in a number of months. He has promised to cut our forces in Iraq by at least a third in the next few months, and possibly by half before the end of the year.

Nice words for the soldiers and relatives, but are they realistic promises? He provides a rider that says “if conditions permit,” but of course the media do not pick up on this so readily. In my opinion it is to early to even consider such promises. Irrespective of what Blair says, it is obvious that the situation in Iraq is far from settled and a withdrawal at this stage does not seem politically or militarily sound. The environment over there is still fragile and taking away the trained troop will leave a fledgling government lacking in strength and support needed to be able to fully carry out their democratic reforms. He claims that Basra is safer than Bagdad. Whether that is the case or not, does he not realise that once the insurgents hear about it, rather than taking on the might of the US forces in the capital, they could do just as much damage by attacking less well supported areas.

Whilst I appreciate that the proposed withdrawal is comforting for many, the worst case scenario is that we pull out, violence flares up again and we are forced to return. Or perhaps that is Tony Blair’s intention, namely to use this news to make himself popular again and leave the mess cleaning to Gordon Brown (did I say cleaning?). If this is the case, this reported withdrawal is not a pleasant publicity stunt.

Anyway, what has happened to this special relationship we have with the US? Are we now saying that it no longer important to maintain unity with the multi-national force?

Pelosi smiles while Democrats spit on our troops!

February 17, 2007

Hi Brit,

In a replay of the last war the Democrats lost for us, Nanny Pelosi has engineered a spineless vote in Congress to pass a “non-binding” resolution against President Bush’s running of the war in Iraq.  While this vile spit-in-the-face attempt to spit in the face of our troops, who, while risking their lives in service to their country, are totally committed to the war, failed to make it through the Senate, it still serves to prove how cowardly and anti-American the liberals are.  Just take a glance at this, Pelosi smiles at Bush, and know that she is really smiling at a partial political victory at the expense of the men and women who defend our country.  Of course, if Pelosi and her liberal gang had any stones, and I’m surprised that Nanny P. doesn’t, they would have put their cards on the table and tried to actually cut funding for the war.  However, as usual, symbolism is just as good to liberals as substance, and they are just beside themselves at this at this partially successful mocking of everything America used to hold dear.

Hillary surrenders, terrorists win!

February 3, 2007

Hi Brit,

In a decisive preemptive strike, Clinton Promises to End War if Elected.  Thus, in addition to promising to institute socialist confiscation of business profits, she has now become the candidate of choice for radical Islamic terrorists.  Let’s just hope she doesn’t decide to go for the nudist vote next.

Progress in Iraq!

January 30, 2007

Hi Brit,

It seems that things are looking up on the war front!  According to this, Iraqis: at Least 200 Insurgents Killed, the Iraqi military is taking more responsibility for their country’s defense, and, apparently, doing it well.  Of course, the big question remains, do the Democrats have the patience to let us win the war, or will they sell the people of Iraq down the river like they did to the South Vietnamese?

Bat out of hell, bite me world!

January 29, 2007

Hi Brit,

I was in a bit of a nostalgic mood this afternoon, so I put “Bat Out of Hell” on and cranked it up.  Man, what perfect timing!  Global Warming, extremest Muslim terrorists, liberals, Jane Fonda, Britney’s beaver, Big Brother racism, Hillary Clinton, the United Nations, President Bush, AlGore, Iraq, Iran, nuclear bombs, blood in the streets, and the end of the world; screw it all!  So, take a few minutes, put the CD on, crank it up and sing along!

Bat Out Of Hell lyrics

The sirens are screaming and the fires are howling

Way down in the valley tonight
There’s a man in the shadows with a gun in his eye
And a blade shining oh so bright
There’s evil in the air and there’s thunder in the sky
And a killer’s on the bloodshot streets
And down in the tunnel where the deadly are rising
Oh I swear I saw a young boy
Down in the gutter
He was starting to foam in the heat
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world
that’s pure and good and right
And wherever you are and wherever you go
There’s always gonna be some light
But i gotta get out
I gotta break it out now
Before the final crack of dawn
So we gotta make the most of our one night together
When it’s over you know
We’ll both be so alone
Like a bat out of hell
I’ll be gone when the morning comes
When the night is over
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes
But when the day is done
And the sun goes down
And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you
I’m gonna hit the highway like a battering ram

On a silver black phantom bike

When the metal is hot and the engine is hungry

And we’re all about to see the light

Nothing ever grows in this rotten old hole

Everything is stunted and lost

And nothing really rocks

And nothing really rolls

And nothing’s ever worth the cost

And I know that I’m damned if I never get out

And maybe I’m damned if I do

But with every other beat I got left in my heart

You know I’d rather be damned with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

If Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night with you
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world

that’s pure and good and right

And wherever you are and wherever you go

There’s always gonna be some light

But I gotta get out

I gotta break it out now

Before the final crack of dawn

So we gotta make the most of our one night together

When it’s over you know

We’ll both be so alone

Like a bat out of hell

I’ll be gone when the morning comes

When the night is over

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes

But when the day is done

And the sun goes down

And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

I can see myself tearing up the road

Faster than any other boy has ever gone

And my skin is raw but my soul is ripe

And no one’s gonna stop me now

I gotta make my escape

But I can’t stop thinking of you

And I never see the sudden curve until it’s way too late

I never see the sudden curve till it’s way too late

Then I’m dying on the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere is tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Breaking out of my body

And flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Then I’m dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere must be tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Still beating

Breaking out of my body and flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Thanks Jim; thanks Meat!  Still love it; still a fan.

Now things start to make sense!

January 28, 2007

Hi Brit,

I think I may have stumbled across the real reason for all the troubles in the Middle East, Muslim Sexologist Spices Up Arab Television!  Goodness, no wonder they always seem to be mad about something over there.  Obviously, instead of dropping bombs, we should be dropping sex manuals, in Arabic of course.  Oh, and a few million copies of Playboy, in any language.  Ha, problem solved!  Now, how do I contact the Nobel Prize people?

UN career with free ATM

January 27, 2007

Hi Grit

I have been looking over some of the comments you have been making regarding the UN and decided that it must be a good idea to apply for a job with the UN, especially as it seems that free cash comes with almost every title held (hence the title free Access To Money).

Amongst the scandals that appeared to have developed are the misappropriation of millions from the UN development program curtesy of Kim Yong II, which by all accounts has been going on for nearly a decade. Then there is the small matter of $18 million on parking tickets. Of course, added to this is the scandal involving the bribery of officials responsible for the Iraq oil sales. Staying on Iraq, money has gone missing from the redevelopment fund, of which $12 billion was delivered in cash (WHAT!).

Although auditors have brought some of these matters to the attention of the UN and other nations, there is a hitch in the system. Organisations within the UN, such as the UNDP, do not have to show their accounts to the member countries they serve.

Excuse me for being critical Grit, but the introduction of the Sobarnes-Oxley Act was an effort to eradicate corporate problems and bring transparency into business financial reporting. It was also intended to ensure that commercial organisations were run at the highest level of corporate governance. Am I reading here that whilst it is okay for business to be whipped into shape in this way, with one of the most stringent financial regulatory structures in the world, this does not apply to international bodies? Also, who in their right mind would allow such large quantities of cash to be floating about?

Whilst I accept that the US provides a large percentage of the funds that keep the UN running, the rest of us also contribute our hard earned cash as well. Therefore, I think it is about time that not only financial statements should be issued to member states, but also they should be made available to the public. It seems to me that we could cut the UN diplomates by half and it would have no affect on the people to whom the money is being distributed.

If not, can I have a UN job please on the same terms as some of the idiots and criminals they have employed?

Democrats causing Climate Change for political gain!

January 26, 2007

Hi Brit,

Well, it does seem as if Nanny Pelosi, the Speaker Lady and big gun against Global Warming and Climate Change (if it’ll get her a vote or two,) is another liberal who’s ideology only applies to the common people.  She and a horde of Big Name liberal politicians are off on a quick trip to Iraq to check things out for themselves, Pelosi to meet with al-Maliki in quick visit to Iraq.  Of course, they’re flying, pumping tons and tons of CO2 into the air, not to mention burning untold thousands of tax payer dollars, just to have a photo-op and make a political point.  Typical liberal elitists.  What do you want to bet that they step off the jet right into a convoy of SUVs?

Who has bigger stones, Pelosi or Bush?

January 16, 2007

Hi Brit,

Since both our countries are in the Iraq war together, I thought you might be interested in this political smack down, Pelosi warns Bush shouldn’t ‘abuse power’ on troop escalation.  I know Pelosi and her pack of snarling liberal Democrats talk a good game, but one has to wonder if they’re brave enough to cut funding for troops in the field?  My guess is  that they won’t dare.  However, there are some Republicans that may take Pelosi’s side, although that may just be a ploy to lure her into a trap.  Good times; good times.

The ghost of Sadam past

January 10, 2007

Hey Grit

I find the furore over Sadam’s hanging quite puzzling. Firstly, everyone in the world was aware that the sentence passed by the court, whether one agrees with the death penalty or not, was death by hanging. This decision was reached by a civilised national court. Therefore, in my view, that is the end of the story.

Like any execution, it is not going to be a pretty sight, but it is simply the fulfilment of a legal decision. However, all of the hype since his death seems to have been fuelled, in my opinion, by the media. I think that this is a touch of sour grapes to be honest. What media editor would not have paid thousands to have got the images that have been shown around the world? They are complaining about the bad taste, but have they not looked in their own cupboards?

What really puzzles me is why the UK and US governments have got involved at all! It wasn’t their justice, nor their execution. It was a democratic decision by the Iraq courts. So why do we have to apologise?

UN screws, well, everybody

January 6, 2007

Hi Brit,

As you may recall, US troops in Iraq made world wide headlines for some abuse and sexual misconduct in a prison over there.  As I recall, several people have gone to jail over here, and Muslims around the world rioted, turned to terrorism, and generally made fools of themselves.  Now we have, U.N. Investigated Over 300 for Sex Abuse.  Of course, since it doesn’t involve anyone from America, and all the UN did was send the guilty back to their respective countries, it’s not getting any press.  It’ll be interesting to see if any of these criminals actually get prosecuted when they return to their home lands.  Also, it’ll be informative to watch for the riots and mob violence by the religious fanatic Muslims in reaction to what happens.

I hate to say I told you so…

January 6, 2007

Hi Brit,

I hate to say I told you so; who am I kidding; I love saying that.  Oh, getting back on track, I seem to recall saying that, if the Democrats took control of Congress, would immediately swamp the Bush Administration under a wave of Congressional investigations and subpoenas.  Guess what, Dems Prepare Slew of Oversight Hearings.

That’s 11 different hearings just on the situation in Iraq.  Ah, can you sense the potency of my prophetic powers?  Can you smell the political blood in the water?  Can you spell “feeding frenzy?”

Al-Qaeda calls for Iraq-style jihad in Somalia

On one hand we have France bad mouthing the US for the war in Iraq, something they didn’t like because they were making too much money from ripping off the oil for food program and selling weapons and nuclear technology to Saddam, and on the other hand, we have the conflict in Somalia, which I’m pretty sure is France’s fault somehow, where they also don’t think anyone should get involved (especially them) producing the exact same results.  Of course, considering how poorly they treat their own Muslim population, I guess they have to talk big to distract world attention from their own bigoted falling apart crap country.  Personally, I think Chirac should spend his time figuring out how to stop the, seemingly, endless riots in France instead of wasting his time offering poorly informed speculations on global affairs.  Hey Jacques, can you hear that rasping sound?  Have you figured out that it’s your poor sharpening the blade on the guillotine?

This should be the top news story!

January 5, 2007

Hi Brit,

I just found this, Iranian agents arrested in Baghdad: BBC, and can’t figure out why it’s not the lead story in every newspaper and on TV.  There seems to be a conspiracy by the news media and the US Government to keep the general public feeling negative about the war in Iraq.  It’s just like when they skipped over the report that we actually had found some of Saddam’s chemical weapons.  Everyone in power just quietly agreed that bit of information wasn’t news worthy.  So now we’re going to ignore this proof that there is a legitimate reason to declare war on Iran, and get on with kicking their ass.  Instead, we’re going to merrily skip on down the path to loosing another war because our politicians are more interested in getting reelected than in doing what’s right for the country.
