I told you things would get nasty on the campaign trail.

February 21, 2007

Hi Brit,

I told you things would get nasty as the race of 08 heated up.  Obama and Clinton have are in the process of firing the opening shot, Maureen Dowd Column Incites Hillary Attack On Obama — and Geffen.  The whole piece is worth a read, but here’s what I found interesting:

“Everybody in politics lies, but they [the Clintons] do it with such ease, it’s troubling,” Geffen said.

and

Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson just released the following statement: “While Senator Obama was denouncing slash and burn politics yesterday, his campaign’s finance chair was viciously and personally attacking Senator Clinton and her husband.

And these are just ranging shots.  I get the impression that we haven’t seen anything yet.  Good times, good times.

The real Hillary shows through!

February 20, 2007

Hi Brit,

As you undoubtedly know, a few years back we settled the “States’ Rights” issue with a bloody civil war.  However, we still have States.  I read this earlier today, Clinton Objects to Confederate Flag.  On the face of it, she is pandering to the black voters in South Carolina.  Yet, if one reads the article carefully, you find, “I think about how many South Carolinians have served in our military and who are serving today under our flag and I believe that we should have one flag that we all pay honor to, as I know that most people in South Carolina do every single day.”  The key to understanding this is knowing that Senator Clinton is not from South Carolina, and does not live there. So, she is advocating not having State flags.  Fortunately, I picked up enough Clinton speak while her husband was in office to get the full meaning.  This is a typical liberal toe-in-the-door move toward eliminating States altogether, which, as a by product, would also eliminate that pesky Electoral College.  I can see it now, one Nation, one Flag, one President For Life.

US President candidates

February 8, 2007

Hi Grit

As politics is slow in the UK today, due to snow getting into the brains of our Members of Parliament and freezing their brains (which might be seen as a welcome reflief), I thought I would take a web stroll through the US news on presidential canidates for 2008 on the grounds that this would be a less slippery place to be. However I am not sure that I achieved this.

I first came across some news was about Barak Obama and Hilary Clinton. Obama is portrayed as a mixed race, ex-pot smoking, religious convert without a stain on his character who some consider will be the first non-white President, and says that his intention is to unite the Democrats and Republicans (Oh Really?). Clinton on the other hand is portrayed as an old campaginer, ex-first lady with stains only on her husband’s past (Clothes?), with the machine to be able to fund and stay the course. Some also consider that Al Gore, of Global Warming film fame, based on a report that has been proved to be in error in at least 25 different instances, could also come into the frame. Then there is Senator Joe Biden, who apparently is renowned for his ability to pose questions in a manner that no-one understands let alone knows how to answer, and Senator John Kerry who they see has as much chance of successfully telling a joke as I have of becoming pregnant.

And this is just part of the Democrat list. However, at this stage I became seriously depressed at the whole thing, so I phoned the Samaritans to ask them to send someone round to stop me from going outside, laying down on the lawn and waiting from the snow to cover my confused brain. The reason for my condition was the fact there was one major omission in all of the stories I have read. I intend, providing my brain can take it, to look at the Republican band tomorrow. But I do not hold any hope of finding anything more promising.

The missing link? ……………….. Politics. Not in one story that I read did the media give one single comment on the policies that any of these candidates support or are proposing.

Then, just as the Samaritan person was banging on the door, it occurred to me why politics was missing. The election is set for 2008. Four years from that is 2012. I guess that your political parties have decided that, as the world will end in 2012, they might as well treat the electorate to a comedy President for the final term. After all, who is going to give a damn?

Hillary surrenders, terrorists win!

February 3, 2007

Hi Brit,

In a decisive preemptive strike, Clinton Promises to End War if Elected.  Thus, in addition to promising to institute socialist confiscation of business profits, she has now become the candidate of choice for radical Islamic terrorists.  Let’s just hope she doesn’t decide to go for the nudist vote next.

Congress calls on Climate Change expert!

February 3, 2007

Hi Brit,

If there was any doubt in your mind about Global Warming being nothing but a political ploy, this should remove it: Gore to Testify on Climate Change.  One other thing that is brought up in the article is that Al Gore may make a late entrance into the 2008 Presidential race.  Oh what fun that would be!  Who wouldn’t want to see a knock down drag out fight between Hillary and Al?  Of course, considering that Hillary has bigger stones than Al, my money would be on Clinton.  Go Colts!

Hillary slips, admits she’s a whore for socialism!

February 2, 2007

Hi Brit,

While I have never had any doubt that Hillary Clinton is, at heart, a socialist, she finally admitted it to the world today, Hillary on Oil Profits.  In this short clip from her speech, she proclaims that, as President, she would take the profits from the oil companies and invest it in research programs.  I’ll leave the rant about alternative energy and its general state of being a pipe dream until later.  However, I must take a moment and explain to the Candidate From Hell that the race is for President.  If she wants to be Dictator, she should go to Cuba or Venezuela.  Even though I hope daily that Bill finally gets tired of her and adds her to the long list of dead Friends Of Bill, this admission of greed and corruption having a prominent place in her personal philosophy, once again demonstrates the stomach turning ugliness that is the true face of the Democratic Party and liberalism in general.

Are you ready to rumble!

January 31, 2007

Hi Brit,

I mentioned that there can be many nasty comments made about fellow party members during the course of the primary campaigns.  Well, it’s already starting, Biden Unbound: Lays Into
Clinton, Obama, Edwards
.  As the days and weeks march on, keep in mind that this is just a warm up 🙂

There is one quote in the piece that attracted my attention, and is now getting a lot of discussion on the talk shows:

about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

This, you should note, is about as vicious as a liberal Democrat can be toward a black man in his own party.  I suspect that Senator Biden is in for a bit of trouble over that remark.

Bat out of hell, bite me world!

January 29, 2007

Hi Brit,

I was in a bit of a nostalgic mood this afternoon, so I put “Bat Out of Hell” on and cranked it up.  Man, what perfect timing!  Global Warming, extremest Muslim terrorists, liberals, Jane Fonda, Britney’s beaver, Big Brother racism, Hillary Clinton, the United Nations, President Bush, AlGore, Iraq, Iran, nuclear bombs, blood in the streets, and the end of the world; screw it all!  So, take a few minutes, put the CD on, crank it up and sing along!

Bat Out Of Hell lyrics

The sirens are screaming and the fires are howling

Way down in the valley tonight
There’s a man in the shadows with a gun in his eye
And a blade shining oh so bright
There’s evil in the air and there’s thunder in the sky
And a killer’s on the bloodshot streets
And down in the tunnel where the deadly are rising
Oh I swear I saw a young boy
Down in the gutter
He was starting to foam in the heat
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world
that’s pure and good and right
And wherever you are and wherever you go
There’s always gonna be some light
But i gotta get out
I gotta break it out now
Before the final crack of dawn
So we gotta make the most of our one night together
When it’s over you know
We’ll both be so alone
Like a bat out of hell
I’ll be gone when the morning comes
When the night is over
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone
Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes
But when the day is done
And the sun goes down
And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you
I’m gonna hit the highway like a battering ram

On a silver black phantom bike

When the metal is hot and the engine is hungry

And we’re all about to see the light

Nothing ever grows in this rotten old hole

Everything is stunted and lost

And nothing really rocks

And nothing really rolls

And nothing’s ever worth the cost

And I know that I’m damned if I never get out

And maybe I’m damned if I do

But with every other beat I got left in my heart

You know I’d rather be damned with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night with you

If I gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

If Gotta be damned you know I wanna be damned

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night

Dancing through the night with you
Oh Baby you’re the only thing in this whole world

that’s pure and good and right

And wherever you are and wherever you go

There’s always gonna be some light

But I gotta get out

I gotta break it out now

Before the final crack of dawn

So we gotta make the most of our one night together

When it’s over you know

We’ll both be so alone

Like a bat out of hell

I’ll be gone when the morning comes

When the night is over

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone gone gone

Like a bat out of hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes

But when the day is done

And the sun goes down

And the moonlight’s shining through

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven

I’ll come crawling on back to you

I can see myself tearing up the road

Faster than any other boy has ever gone

And my skin is raw but my soul is ripe

And no one’s gonna stop me now

I gotta make my escape

But I can’t stop thinking of you

And I never see the sudden curve until it’s way too late

I never see the sudden curve till it’s way too late

Then I’m dying on the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere is tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Breaking out of my body

And flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Then I’m dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun

Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike

And I think somebody somewhere must be tolling a bell

And the last thing I see is my heart

Still beating

Still beating

Breaking out of my body and flying away

Like a bat out of hell

Thanks Jim; thanks Meat!  Still love it; still a fan.

No wonder no Senate ethics reform!

January 28, 2007

Hi Brit,

As I mentioned earlier, the Democrats ran on a platform of “changing the culture of corruption” in Congress.  What they didn’t mention was that, they meant changing who gets the payoffs.  This, A deal in the desert for Sen. Reid?, could well explain why the Senate hasn’t enacted new ethics rules and standards since the liberals took charge.  It would seem that Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) got a sweetheart deal, just like Hillary did trading in commodities back before Bill made President.  Of course, the liberal press doesn’t give this bit of corruption top billing, since, if Reid gets impeached and booted, the liberals loose control of the Senate.  Typical.

2008 Elections

January 28, 2007

Hi Grit

Thanks for the information on your 2008 Presidential elections. As Solomon once said (although I hasten to add this is heresay as I wasn’t there at the time), those who give wisdom empower others. However, in this instance, as the UK papers have passed little comment about any of the potential candidates apart from Hilary Clinton, I am of course little the wiser. No doubt more will become clear as the months move on.

I was pleased to note that some of the normal traditions of the Presidency race are being kept. Naturally, the exhorbitant funding levels will be maintain as candidates attempt to buy the office. The one tradition that caught my eye though, was the area of candidate scandals. I notice that this is already moving into full swing as people look to dig the dirt. A number of candidates are already revealing themselves in this area as I found at this address.

Sometimes nothing changes.

The Great Race of 2008

January 27, 2007

Hi Brit,

As promised, here is a more in depth look at the Presidential race for 2008.  I would have got this to you sooner, but, there for awhile, people were entering faster than I could type.

First, a bit of background on how our elections work.  We have, basically, a two party system.  While other parties or even individuals can run, our laws make it exceedingly difficult for them to get on the ballot in enough states to have a serious chance.  Inside the two main parties, Republican and Democrat, they select one candidate to represent that party in the election.  This is done by a system of primary elections, where only the registered members of that party can vote.  These are done on a state by state basis, and state keep changing their laws trying to be one to hold an early primary.  That’s because the first few primaries get lots of attention from the candidates, and lots of money from political ads.  Most candidates will drop out after the initial handful of state races if they do poorly.  Once selected as the party’s choice, the candidate will choose a Vice Presidential partner and start trying to undo the damage done during the primaries.  This damage occurs, usually, because of nasty campaign tactics by other party members and, as only party members can vote, the candidates often have to take more extreme stands to please them.  One more thing, Federal law require that to start raising money, a candidate must either actually declare they are running (by filling out some paper work and paying a small fee) or start a committee to “investigate” the possibility of running, called an exploratory committee.

Off we go then:

Official Candidates:

      Republican:

          Sam Brownback

          John Cox

          Duncan Hunter

      Democrat:

          Christopher Dodd

          John Edwards

          Mike Gravel

          Dennis Kucinich

          Tom Vilsack

      Other:

          Don’t care

Semi-Official Candidates (started exploratory committee):

      Republican:

          Jim Gilmore

          Rudy Giuliani

          John McCain

          Ron Paul

          Mitt Romney

          Tom Tancredo

          Tommy Thompson

      Democrat:

          Joe Biden

          Hillary Rodham Clinton

          Barack Oboma

          Bill Richardson

      Other:

          Don’t care

Probable Candidates:

      Republican:

          Newt Gingrich

          Chuck Hagel

          Mike Huckabee

          George Pataki

         Mike Pence

      Democrat:

          Wesley Clark

          Al Sharpton

      Other:

          Don’t care

Keep in mind that more may have entered the race while I was typing this.  As to why there are so many, this is an unusual election.  Normally, either the setting President or Vice President will run and be the obvious choice for one party.  This also, depending on the popularity of that candidate, limits the number of people from the other side of the isle who think they can win.  Next year, Bush can’t, by law, run again and Cheney isn’t running, leaving things wide open in both parties.  I’ll fill in more about each later.

George Bush and the ladies triangle

January 27, 2007

Hi Grit

Although there has been no Clinton-type impropriety during George Bush’s Presidency, he must be wondering what he has done to become embroiled in a triangle on ladies.

It seems to me that this is the most important issue that George Bush has to face during the last two years of his term, namely how to deal with the ladies. In the past three months suddenly, out of seemingly nowhere, he has been placed in the middle of a triangle of female attackers.

First there is the leader of the house Ms Pelosi, who has made plain her disagreement with the way that he is conducting the Iraq war and a number of other issues. In fact, it is difficult to find an issue where there is any vestigage of agreement between the two.

Next comes Ms Merkel of the EU, seeking to promote a single US/EU marketplace. One only has to look at the imperfections of the EU’s own region wide policies to see how successful that will be. This despite the fact that there is no consensus of opinion in favour of it from the individual nations involved.

Lastly, Hilary Clinton has entered the fray. One of course has to wonder about her utterances of returning the core values back to American life, especially in view of the husbands antics whilst he was in office.

Whilst I am in no way a chauvinist, I have to wonder how Bush is going to cope with this new position he finds himself in. Having spent the last six years discussing issues with male politicians, with whom he shares a similar daily word output, how is he going to fare in a position where he has to discuss these with ladies, who researches have proven to have a word output of at least 2.5 times that of a male?

US Presidential race – confused

January 25, 2007

Hi Grit

I may be a little dense, but I am having real trouble working out who is doing what in the race to become your next President. Firstly people seem to jumping jumping on the band wagon. As far as I can see there are now three democrats involved, including Hilary Clinton. I have yet to catch up with who is running for the other side, but no doubt that will come to me in the next few days.

Also, it appears that everyone is leading on the same home policy, home care. Assuming that the Iraq situation is over by then, won’t this be just a little confusing for the electorate?

Oh I will also be looking to see how much money is being thrown at the election campaigns as well.

Speaking of sex, nudity, and Paris Hilton…

January 25, 2007

Hi Brit,

In our continuing quest to offer stuff catering to the eclectic tastes of our readers, and noticing that the hits pour in when we talk about Paris Hilton naked, I pay attention to all the trashy crap that’s out there on the net.  Hey, it’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.

During my daily prowl down smut lane, I found a morsel of rumor about Put-Out Paris not paying her bill on a storage locker and all the loot that was gleaming within going to auction.  I believe that almost as much as the one about Hillary Clinton secretly wanting to cut taxes.  However, for those of you who need an adult content dream to follow: Paris Exposed.

A mystery solved!

January 25, 2007

Hi Brit,

I’ve been talking about the mysterious qualities of Barack Obama, the liberal Messiah, for a while now.  Mostly, I was wondering about what he really stands for, which seemed to be classified information, until now: Obama Calls for Universal Health Care.  Add that to this, keeping in mind that a picture is worth a thousand words,

obama-ted.jpg

and Obama’s true nature shines through.  No wonder the High and Mighty in Hollywood are fighting with one another to be the first to throw money at his feet!  Barack is a liberal’s liberal.  A man with more feelings than brains.  Someone who knows he has a destiny to be part of the elite, deciding what’s best for us common people, even though, you can bet, it’s not what’s best for Him and his Rich cronies.  With this revelation, it’s easy to see why Hillary has been cast aside.  Just like Hillary, Obama is liberal to the core and a minority.  Unlike Hillary, he doesn’t come across to the general public as an evil bitch.

Hillary not liberal enough?

January 25, 2007

Hi Brit,

It seems there is some politics inside politics out on the Left Coast, Hillary’s Hollywood Friends Switch Sides.  Could it be that Hillary isn’t liberal enough for the Rich and Famous?  Or, has sexism come to Tinsel Town?  Perhaps, and I’ll go out on a limb here, it’s because Senator Clinton is a bitch?  Well, that one probably isn’t right.  The liberal elite have plenty of bitches among their number, so they should be used to that.  Ah, I’ve got it, Barack Obama is the Antichrist and has them under his spell.  And not the Spawn of Satan, could it be that the mysterious would-be-President is even more liberal than the Wicked Witch of New York?

As to Senator Obama, there’s also a rumor going around that he’s a Muslim and attended a madrassa while his family lived in Indonesia, Obama Versus Fox News.   I saw a bit on this last week, but figured it was too good to be true.  However, now that I’ve read that piece, I begin to feel that the Secretive Senator does protest too much.  Not to fear, I’m so sure the liberal press will not sleep until they cover up the truth behind this ugly rumor.  Oh, I meant to say, uncover the truth.  Sorry.  My bad.

Clinton and Bush – keeping it in the family

January 22, 2007

Hi Grit

I see that, after having the Bush father and son, your country is trying for a husband and wife in the hilary.jpgPresidency, with Hilary Clinton seeking to follow her rather “infamous” partner Bill into the White House. Is this a new trend with US politics, to keep it in the family? Based upon past records are we also to expect the possibility of Mother and daughter repeating the Bush and Bush trick, only this time daughter Chelsea following Hilary?

Oh and a little help if you please. I found this quote from the lady and wondered if you could interpret it for me?

“I concluded, based on the work of my life time and my experience and my understanding of what our country has to confront in order to continue to make opportunity available to all of our citizens here and to restore our leadership and respect of America around the world, that I would be able to do that – to bring our country together to meet those tough challenges,”

The race for ’08 starting a bit early.

January 21, 2007

Hi Brit,

Since the campaign to be President in 2008 is starting a bit early, like a year early, we may as well start keeping track of the players.  Considering more Democrats have thrown their pleas for contributions into the ring, let’s start with them.

Barack Obama, man of mystery and little experience (7 years as a state senator and less than one term as US Senator) who’s early years are carefully left mentioned by the liberal press.  The candidate has been cautious about discussing anything of importance, including his stand on political issues.  We do know, however, that he is a fan of the Bears (American football team) and that there is a minor scandal, Barackwater, that may haunt him later.  Considering the trend in US political races toward massive amounts of negative campaign ads, Barack’s lack of history may be a valuable thing.  Oh, and you’re going to hear his middle name a lot, that being Hussein, as in Saddam Hussein.

Hillary Clinton.  Whitewater.  Socialized medicine.  Dead lawyer.  Monica.  Bill.  Scandal, scandal, scandal, and they’re all going to come back.  Besides, almost as many people hate her as hate Bush.  Still, she’s evil and conniving enough to have a shot at the Big Prize.  Plus, she’s got that selling her soul to the Devil thing going.

Bill Richardson.  Currently Governor of New Mexico, which is appropriate since he’s Hispanic, whatever the heck that means.  Of course, Mexicans are also said to be Hispanic, and, given our insane illegal immigration problem, this isn’t going to be a check in his plus column.  He also carries a good deal of baggage from his days as President Clinton’s minion.  Good luck Bill, because that’s the only chance you have.

Dennis Kucinich, who cares?  Sorry, I really don’t know much about Dennis, except that he is a US Representative, he’s run for President before, he’s short, and he’s so funny looking that I can never hear what he says because I’m laughing so hard.  If he does a lot of radio spots, who knows, the Hobbit vote may propel him to single digits in the primary.

That should be more than enough to get us started.
