Hi Brit,
I mentioned that there can be many nasty comments made about fellow party members during the course of the primary campaigns. Well, it’s already starting, Biden Unbound: Lays Into
Clinton, Obama, Edwards. As the days and weeks march on, keep in mind that this is just a warm up 🙂
There is one quote in the piece that attracted my attention, and is now getting a lot of discussion on the talk shows:
about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
This, you should note, is about as vicious as a liberal Democrat can be toward a black man in his own party. I suspect that Senator Biden is in for a bit of trouble over that remark.

Thats it. Joey’s a goner.
Even if his best friends are black.
Even if he clarifies his remarks for the record.
The party chose Mike Dukakis over him in 1988. What does that tell you?
And especially because his natural arrogance flows from the guy and it’s often very difficult to shut him up.
They say whatever is in your heart, sooner or later, makes it way out of your mouth.
So it is with Joe.

Hi i,
I’m afraid you’re correct, which is unfortunate. There was always a chance he would get the Democrat nod, and that, of course, would assure any Republican candidate, with the possible exception of Dan Quayle, an easy path to the White House.
