Your comment on corruption reminded me that the “cash for honours” scandal is still going on here. The latest problem is that apparently some incriminating e-mails have been found, which is causing concern in the Labour party.
So far around 86 members of Parliament have been interviewed, which includes most members of the present government, and the police say there is little doubt that there will be prosecutions. Mind you even the potential prosecution process is causing problems. The Attorney General, the country’s highest solicitor is a close friend of the Prime Minister. Some think that means he may be biased if he has to make a decision on the matter.
A corrupt political system? Surely not.
