Bravery and courage beyond words

Last week a fifteen year old girl suffering from terminal cancer, walked away from the hospitals offering to extend her life by months, through painful treatment and a life of sickness. Her reason was because she wanted to live the last weeks of her life with quality and do what she wanted to do, not to be bedridden.

One has to salute the bravery and wisdom of that decision. Perhaps even more so, one has to salute the bravery, courage and love of her mother and father, who although they could legally have overuled their daughters decision, stood aside and allowed her the right to choose her own path, despite knowing the pain it would bring them.

In this angry world, a story like this brings some ray of hope.
