It’s official – Christmas is being banned!

The UK is taking political correctness beyond the verge of madness. Four major UK business corporations have banned Christmas decorations in the workplace for fear of offending people from other countries.

Excuse me? When I was in Spain a couple of years ago, if anyone tried this they would have found themselves on the wrong side of the “Spanish Inquisition” if not worse.

Who owns this country anyway?

    Hi Brit

You know my feelings on PC! I have to agree – if you are living in a proclaimed Christian country, you should respect the traditons and beliefs.

Don’t like it, don’t live there. Seems pretty simple to me? Never heard any politician in a Christian country say other religeons can’t celebrate their own religeous events as publically as they choose?

I was forced to remove the Christmas decorations from my cubical once. However, since I had 6 50 foot strings of chaser lights and 200 feet of tinsel garland up, it was for aesthetic rather than PC reasons.

And it gets worse, we now have an alternative Christmas speech on our channel 4 TV being read by a muslim lady in a veil.

    You must be joking?

    Hi Jayne

No I am serious. It is on Channel 4. Just remember if I have an identity crisis in the next few weeks, there is a reason for it

I’m just trying to figure out how ‘alternative’ a CHRISTMAS speach can be? The mind boggles!
