UK = The big brother state

Following on from the Video police helmets, yet another example of the “Big Brother” syndrome has hit the UK.

This time the police are carrying out trials in three counties of automatic biometric fingerprinting. The situation is that if you are stopped for any reason, even an offence like speeding, they will be entitled to use a hand-held machine to check your fingerprints against a national database. It will give them all the history they want on you including, potentially, your medical records.

Thus, in future, it you want to know the time or ask directions, don’t ask a policeman, unless you either want the whole of your private life to be revealed or you have left your hands at home.
